Generative engine optimisation agency: get recommended by AI

As a generative engine optimisation agency, we make your brand visible, cited and recommended in answers from ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot and Google AI Overviews. We run it together with classic SEO as one search visibility strategy: diagnose, grow, monitor.

What is generative engine optimisation (GEO)?

Generative engine optimisation, also called AI SEO or GEO, is the work of increasing the visibility of your brand, products, services and expert content in answers generated by AI. That includes ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, Microsoft Copilot and Google AI Overviews.

Classic SEO asks where a single page ranks for a keyword. In generative search, the question is whether your brand is recognised, named, cited, compared or recommended. A traditional search engine returns a list of results. An AI system builds one synthesised answer from what the model has learned, pages it finds at that moment, databases, search results, or a mix of these.

The system interprets the question, detects topics and brands, chooses sources, checks that the information is consistent and then names sources or recommended companies. No universal list of factors guarantees a mention, because each tool uses different models and indexes. What works is one consistent strategy that joins SEO, content, structured data, analytics and independent sources.

From visibility analysis to presence in AI answers

Visibility in ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity and AI Overviews does not happen by accident. We first check how AI models see your brand, then strengthen the right signals, then keep measuring.

  1. Diagnose

We check whether your brand appears in model answers, in what context it is described and which sources shape the recommendations. That means analysing answers from ChatGPT, Gemini and Perplexity, testing visibility in Google AI Overviews, comparing you with key competitors, reviewing recommendations, citations and sources, and setting out gaps and priorities. The starting point is our AI visibility audit.

  2. Grow

We put in place the work that raises the chance of your brand being recognised, cited and recommended by AI systems: content that answers real customer questions, stronger expertise and credibility, optimised key product and service pages, a wider presence in external sources and consistent signals about your brand and offer. All of it is tied to classic SEO.

  3. Monitor

AI answers change as content, sources and competitors change. We measure your presence in AI answers on a regular cycle, track recommendations and citations, compare your visibility with competitors, watch which sources the models use, spot new topics and queries, and report results with next steps. See AI visibility monitoring.

Where your brand can appear in AI answers

Each of these needs its own analysis. A brand can be cited as a source in AI Overviews and still be missing from ChatGPT's recommendations. Those are two different types of visibility.

ChatGPT

Answers, recommendations, comparisons and web search.

Google AI Overviews

Summaries generated inside Google results.

Gemini

Answers linked to the Google ecosystem.

Perplexity

Search-based answers with visible citations.

Microsoft Copilot

Answers connected to Microsoft search.

Assistants on websites and apps

What a generative engine optimisation agency works on

The aim is to make it easier for AI systems to find, understand and trust your brand. In practice, that comes down to four areas.

How AI systems choose their sources

The choice depends on the type of question, how current the topic is, the country, the language, the tool and the credibility of the material. Content that is clear, specific, current and set in a wider topic context gains the most. Consistent information about your brand across different places matters too. In B2B, the sources most cited tend to be specifications, descriptions of implementations and case studies with numbers.

Not every company needs visibility on thousands of general queries. Often the questions that matter are about choosing a supplier, comparing solutions, price, quality or use case. So we build the strategy from your customers' real questions, your market position and your business goals: priority topics, queries assigned to pages, stronger service and product pages, expert materials, tidier brand information, third-party mentions, visible experts and constant monitoring.

How we measure results

We never judge results from a single screenshot of one model's answer. AI answers do not form a fixed ranking. They shift with models, sources, publications, competitor activity and the wording of the question. We use a fixed set of queries, regular measurements and a comparable method, and we track:

  • the number of queries where your brand appears
  • how often it appears across successive measurements
  • your share of recommendations and your share against competitors
  • the order in which brands are listed, and the context and sentiment
  • how many of your pages and materials are cited, and how varied your external mentions are
  • traffic from AI tools, branded searches and direct visits
  • leads and sales preceded by contact with your brand in AI answers

Attribution is hard, so we join the data

A user may meet your brand in an AI answer and then visit directly or search for your name on Google. That is why we combine AI visibility data with GA4, Google Search Console, your CRM and what your sales team hears in conversations. Our web analytics work sets that measurement up.

Search that is part of the whole business

We do not do SEO in isolation from the rest of digital. We combine it with analytics, performance marketing, UX, technology and a clear view of how search is changing in the age of AI. We are a Google Premier Partner 2026, a Microsoft Advertising Partner and an OpenAI Select Partner, so we work across the Google and Microsoft ecosystems and with AI platforms.

We do not guess how AI changes SEO. Our own AI SEO Report 2026 is a meta-analysis of 75+ studies on AI Overviews, language models, brand citations and changes in search. Technology changes. Accountability for the result stays the same.
