Agency handover

Switch marketing agency without losing data, continuity or control

You can switch marketing agency without chaos if the accounts stay in your company's name, the data is checked first and campaigns keep running during the handover. We take over Google Ads, Meta Ads, SEO and analytics in stages: first we protect what works, then we tidy and grow the system.

What a safe handover should guarantee

Four principles shape how we plan every takeover. Scope and timing depend on the number of accounts, channels, markets, integrations and the terms of your current contract.

  • Accounts and history stay with your company. Accounts, data and materials should remain your property throughout.
  • Audit first, changes second. We check the data before touching campaign structure.
  • No unnecessary pause. Campaigns can keep running during the audit and clean-up, and we plan for no planned downtime when access and payments are correctly secured.
  • One plan. Campaigns, analytics, creative, SEO and sales information in a single plan, with clear owners.

When to switch marketing agency

One weak month does not mean a bad partnership. The problem starts when you get no explanation, no plan of action and no access to the data you need to decide.

Reports show numbers but do not explain the business

You get clicks, reach and conversion counts, but not which campaigns bring sales, qualified leads or new customers. Ad data is not linked to margin, your CRM or the real result.

The account has not developed for months

Campaigns run on the same pattern with no new tests, markets, creative or recommendations for the website. Optimisation means keeping spend steady rather than finding new sources of growth.

Budget grows faster than profitability

The agency recommends higher spend without analysing total cost, margin, lead quality or the share of new customers. More sales do not always mean more profit.

You do not have full access to your own accounts

The ad account, analytics, Merchant Center, pixels or domains are controlled only by the agency. That makes an audit, a change of partner and keeping your history after the contract ends much harder.

We do not tear the account down on day one

A good handover separates three stages: protecting continuity, diagnosis and development. That way you do not lose campaigns that work just because the team changes.

Before we take over, we separate errors that need urgent action from elements that work and should be kept. That stops a change of agency becoming an expensive reset. We do not promise a result before we have seen what is really happening in the accounts.

What we secure during the takeover

Account and contract audit

We check access, account ownership, the notice period, structure and historical results.

Measurement and data

We verify GA4, Tag Manager, pixels, conversions, your CRM, consent and the quality of input data.

Access and ownership

We tidy user roles so your company keeps control of its tools.

Budgets and payments

We secure limits, payment methods, schedules and continuity of billing with the platforms.

30/60/90-day plan

We separate urgent fixes from tests and changes that need more data.

Communication and responsibility

We agree owners for each area, the reporting rhythm and how sales information reaches us.

Five stages instead of an abrupt reset

We plan the takeover so that you always know what is happening with budget, data and campaigns. Safety first, then optimisation and growth. One owner of the process holds clear tasks, deadlines and responsibility.

  1. Confidential conversation

We establish why you want to change, the current limitations, contract dates, channels and the main risks.

  2. Audit and plan

We analyse accounts, measurement, history, access and the scope of work. You receive a list of priorities and a schedule.

  3. Handover of access

We tidy roles, payments, domains, pixels, feeds and integrations without deleting historical data.

  4. Stabilisation

We secure campaigns, fix critical errors and watch the effect of changes before any larger rebuild.

  5. Development

We launch tests, new campaigns, creative, pages or markets according to the agreed 30/60/90-day plan.

What we usually need to take over

The exact list depends on your channels and integrations. A basic takeover can happen within a few working days if access is complete. Full stabilisation, tidier measurement and the growth plan usually unfold in stages over the first weeks.

  • Access to your ad accounts (Google Ads, Meta, LinkedIn and others you use)
  • Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager
  • Your website and, for stores, Google Merchant Center
  • Your CRM and tracking pixels
  • SEO tools and documentation of past work

What we can take over

We can take over a single channel or put the whole marketing system in order. Scope is agreed after the audit, and we do not push services your project does not need. Each channel has its own page with the detail.

Not every difficulty needs a change of agency

The best decision does not come from emotion after one weak month, but from a repeated lack of data, accountability or an improvement plan. These situations usually justify considering a switch:

  • You have no admin access to your own accounts. Your company should control ad accounts, analytics, domains, Merchant Center and pixels.
  • You get no clear recovery plan. Results may dip, but you need a diagnosis, hypotheses and concrete actions rather than general assurances.
  • The agency does not use sales information. Without lead quality, margin, returns and customer value, optimisation can lead to results that only look good.
  • You need more scale or new markets. The current team may maintain the account well but lack the skills for expansion, analytics or ecommerce.
  • Marketing is split between several firms that do not talk to each other. Channels work to separate goals, reports and conversion definitions, so total profitability is hard to judge.

An example of tidy structure and measurement

What this example does and does not show

This is a service-business project: tidier structure, measurement and optimisation led to bigger scale and a lower cost per contact. Results depend on the sector, budget, offer and starting point, so it is not a guarantee of an identical outcome. It shows how we work: data analysis, control of contact quality, structure development and optimisation towards a real business goal. Read the full appliance repair case study.
