The client and the goal

The client sells professional disinfection and cleaning equipment. We keep the brand anonymous. This is not an ecommerce business with a large number of transactions every day. It is B2B selling, with a long decision process and strong competition.

The client wanted a stronger presence in Google, so that people searching for professional equipment would land on its site. We approached it as a B2B SEO project.

The challenge

The aim was to dominate a niche market in organic search results. Three problems stood in the way: content that was not well optimised, a weak keyword structure and unused potential in internal linking.

In a market where buyers take time to decide, being found at the moment they search matters. The client needed its site to be the one buyers find.

What we did

We combined technical SEO with content that generates traffic. The work had three parts.

  1. Market and competitor analysis

We determined which keywords were the most valuable and what the competition looked like in the search results.

  2. Content optimisation

We expanded and improved product descriptions and blog articles, so that they met Google's standards and answered users' search intent. See our approach to SEO content.

  3. Internal linking strategy

Better navigation and stronger links between pages helped build the authority of the domain. This sits within technical SEO.

Terms used in this case study

Top 10 and top 50 are the numbers of keywords for which the site appears among the first 10 or the first 50 results in Google.

Internal linking connects pages within one site. It helps users and search engines understand its structure.

Competitor analysis means checking which keywords other players in the market rank for, and how.

The takeaway

SEO is not a one-off project but a long-term investment. When it works, it generates leads without additional advertising costs.
