The client and the goal

The client is a company in the HR and recruitment sector. We keep the brand anonymous. It came to us with a problem of low visibility in organic search results.

Our goal was to increase the number of keywords in Google's top 10 and to improve the quality of its organic traffic, using a long-term SEO strategy.

The challenge

How do you build lasting visibility in Google in a competitive sector? Earlier SEO campaigns had brought only small effects.

Without a long-term strategy, new content was not building the authority of the domain.

What we did

We combined technical SEO with content marketing. The work had four parts.

  1. SEO audit and keyword strategy

We identified the valuable queries that can realistically generate sales. It all starts with an SEO audit.

  2. Content optimisation

We matched the offer pages and the blog articles to the search intent of users. Read more about SEO content.

  3. Internal linking structure

We expanded the structure of internal links and improved the connections between pages across the site.

  4. Regular expert content

We published expert articles of high substantive value, which strengthened the authority of the brand in Google.

Results

+215%

more keywords in Google's top 10, in 12 months

+380%

more keywords in Google's top 50, in 12 months

What the results mean

Both keyword figures refer to the 12 months of the project. They measure the change in the number of keywords that rank in Google, not in traffic or revenue.

Top 10. Keywords in the top 10 rose by 215%. That is more valuable positions on the first page of Google.

Top 50. Keywords in the top 50 rose by 380%. The site had a wider reach in organic search results.

Leads. The number of leads from organic traffic increased. The client gained more qualified contacts thanks to content that matched users' needs better.

Terms used in this case study

The takeaway
